Questions about ad mockups
What is an ad mockup?
An ad mockup is a picture of how an ad will look in the feed before it runs: the page name, text, image, headline and button laid out like Facebook, Instagram or Google shows them. Teams use mockups to review creative and get client sign-off without launching anything.
How long should Facebook ad text be?
Meta recommends up to 125 characters of primary text, about 40 for the headline and about 30 for the description. Longer primary text still runs, but the feed cuts it off with “See more”, which this preview shows.
What are the character limits for Google search ads?
Responsive search ads allow headlines of up to 30 characters, descriptions of up to 90 characters and two display-URL paths of up to 15 characters each. Google shows up to three headlines and two descriptions at a time.
What image size should I use?
For Facebook and Instagram feeds use 1080×1350 (4:5) or 1080×1080 (1:1). For stories and reels use 1080×1920 (9:16) and keep text away from the top and bottom 14% where the interface sits.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The mockup is built in your browser and the PNG is made on your device. Nothing you add is sent to ProvenHits.
